WDW stands for Wyatt ,Dunagan, and Williams, Inc. the company that produced this line of banks in the 60's and 70's. If the bank hasn't had extensive wear, you will usually find a gold sticker on the bottom identifying WDW. There are likely hundreds of them and while it is not difficult to find a WDW bank, it can be a real challenge to find a specific one.
They are made of ceramic (which is more fragile than it first appears...there are often shipping casualties). They each have a metal two-bar facemask that is glued to indentations on the sides of the helmet. They came with a rubber stopper in the bottom.
One of the fun things about these banks is that they often feature alternate or seldom seen logos on the helmets. This also makes it challenging to determine what teams many of the banks represent. Compounding that is that for every 1 college there are probably 2 high schools. Does a green eagle logo represent XYZ High School? University of North Texas? Philadelphia Eagles? The NFL set usually has the actual helmet design, but not always. One of the best and only clues is that many of these banks were stamped by the issuing bank branch, which was usually in the vicinity of the team. Some conclusions can be drawn from that, with some research.
I've limited this page to the college teams that I've found - cataloguing pro and high school ones would be a monumental task. It is safe to say that whatever is listed here is a modest percentage of those that exist.
